Mark Weber Named CEO of LVMH, Inc. and Chairman & CEO of Donna Karan International.


NEW YORK -- LVMH LVMH - Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton (upscale retailer) MoE1/2t Hennessy Louis Vuitton ("LVMH"), the world's leading luxury products group, today announced that Mark Weber Ernst Heinrich 1795-1878.

 has been appointed CEO of LVMH, Inc. (U.S.) and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Donna Karan International ("DKI DKI - Don't Knock It"). Mr. Weber will also have operational responsibility for Thomas Pink worldwide and has been named a member of the LVMH Group executive committee.

At DKI, Mr. Weber succeeds Jeffry Aronsson, who has been President & CEO since November 2003. Antonio Belloni, LVMH Group Managing Director, said, "We thank Jeffry for his dedication and contributions to the Donna Karan brand and wish him success in his future endeavors."

In his role at LVMH, Inc., Mr. Weber will look for strategic opportunities for LVMH in the U.S. market and oversee the centralized functions supporting the Group's U.S. operations, which have grown very substantially in recent years. He will also have global responsibility for the Thomas Pink brand, bringing to bear his extensive experience in the shirt business.

, one of the world's largest apparel companies, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in areas including product development, marketing, and licensing, serving most recently as CEO. During his career there, he spent seven years as President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all of the operations of the company. Following PVH's 2003 acquisition of Calvin Klein, Mr. Weber was responsible for its highly successful integration into PVH and the expansion of the multi-tier brand during a period of notable strategic and profitable growth. He was also instrumental in the integration and development of IZOD following its acquisition in 1995.

Mr. Weber holds a B.A. from Brooklyn College, City University of New York. He is married and has two sons.
