Mark Uicker Joins Anti-Spam Solutions Provider Commtouch as VP of Business Development.

Commtouch(R) (Nasdaq: CTCH), a global developer and provider of proprietary enterprise anti-spam solutions, announced today that Mark Uicker has been appointed vice president of business development, reporting to Commtouch Executive Vice President Avner Amram. Uicker is responsible for managing all of Commtouch's relationships with OEM partners. His responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities as well as negotiating agreements to embed and license Commtouch's anti-spam detection engine in OEM enterprise, service provider and consumer software applications and messaging and security appliances.

Uicker brings 14 years experience in the software business to Commtouch, his most recent position being vice president of business development, in charge of channel sales at Kaon Interactive. Uicker previously served as vice president of OEM sales and business development at anti-spam vendor Elron Software (acquired by Zix Corporation this fall), where he was instrumental in signing deals with Avaya, Nokia, Sendmail and others.
