Mark Harris.

Mark Harris (photo), has joined Jacobson, Goldfarb & Tanzman Associates (JGT) as senior vice president, announced Stanley Simon, a partner in the full-service commercial broker company.

Harris, 57, will oversee the management of JGT's West Orange branch office in addition to handling sales and leasing of industrial properties. Although he has concluded real estate transactions throughout the state, Harris specializes in the Passaic, Bergen, Essex and Morris County markets.

In 1969, after having owned a chain of retail businesses for 14 years, Harris became a salesman for The Archie Schwartz Co. During his 22 year tenure with the company, Harris rose to the positions of vice president, senior vice president and president. Throughout the years, he has earned a formidable reputation in the industry. He has represented such distinguished companies as Westinghouse, Channel Lumber, Uni-royal, Union Carbide, Tuck Tape, Mr. Coffee, Hartz Mountain, Tedey Tea, Vomado, Inc, and R.C.A.

Harris attended City College of New York. He has six children, and resides in Short Hills with his wife, Marilyn.
