, Wash. - Marist High School senior Jack Pennington Jack Pennington (born September 3, 1953), is a former NASCAR driver from Augusta, Georgia.

He was an ace in late model dirt track racing before he moved up to the Busch Series in 1989 making six starts, finishing with 2 top tens.
 won his first match Thursday to reach the semifinals of the Pacific Northwest Golf Association Junior Boys Amateur Championship before falling 2 and 1 to William Holdridge of Bellingham, Wash., at Mill Creek Country Club.

The semifinalists were even after 13 holes before Holdridge birdied the next two to go 2 up. Each parred the 16th and then birdied No. 17, giving Holdridge the victory.

In his quarterfinal match, Pennington, the only Oregonian to reach the final eight, defeated Matt Rawitzer of Bellingham 3-2, leading from the fourth hole through the 16th.
