* Altek H771 marine laminating resin has 35% or lower HAP content that meets MACT requirements for flow coating and other non-atomized mechanical processing methods. This resin has a proprietary chemistry that reportedly can replace traditional orthophthalic resins while offering equal or better secondary bonding strength. It also boasts higher EDT than standard high-HAP resins, thereby reducing post-cure needs and improving surface profile.

* New Hydropel G360LA series marine gel coats reportedly meet MACT standards for low HAP with 21% to 32% styrene content.

* AOC also introduced new Hydropel G300 series specialty gel coats. Hydropel G315 gives high gloss in dark colors. Grade G320 provides high resistance to resin tear and sagging. And G308 offers high flexural flexural

* Hydropel H010-BCA-11 barrier coat is a vinyl ester designed to prevent blister-causing hydrolysis. Its black color makes it easier to detect voids during roll-out. It can be applied "wet-on-wet" over gel coat to reduce processing time. Tel: (800) 238-7536, www.aoc-resins.com
