Its varied manufactures include metal, glass and rubber products and industrial equipment.  Mayor and U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marin Rosario Marin (originally: MarĂ­n) was the 41st Treasurer of the United States from August 21, 2001 to June 30, 2003 under President George W. Bush. Education  has picked up some local support for her uphill run for U.S. Senate against incumbent Barbara Boxer.
