Marienne Uszler and Henry Z. Steinway were honored with the MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National Association
MTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) 
 Achievement Award at the 2007 CFMTA-MTNA-RCM Collaborative Conference in Toronto.

Uszler was the editor of Piano & Keyboard, a former editor for American Music Teacher, coauthor of The Well-Tempered Keyboard Teacher (now in its second edition) Sound Choices: Guiding Your Child's Musical Experiences, The Pedagogy Major in the College Curriculum: Undergraduate and Graduate Levels, and the author of Play It Again, Sam; That's a Good Question; and Time Flies. Her chapter on keyboard music is included in the MENC MENC National Association for Music Education (formerly Music Educators National Conference)

 Handbook of Research on Music Teaching and Learning. Her articles have appeared in The Piano Quarterly, American Music Teacher, Piano & Keyboard and Arts Education Policy Review.

Recipient of MTNA's 2004 Frances Clark Pedagogy Award, Uszler has given workshops and presentations throughout the United States, as well as in England, Canada, Australia and Finland. She is retired from the University of Southern California The U.S. News & World Report ranked USC 27th among all universities in the United States in its 2008 ranking of "America's Best Colleges", also designating it as one of the "most selective universities" for admitting 8,634 of the almost 34,000 who applied for freshman admission , School of Music, where she was professor of keyboard studies and director of undergraduate studies. While at USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. , Uszler established the piano pedagogy program. Currently she is a freelance writer and editor for The Faber Piano Institute.

Born on August 23, 1915, Steinway is the great-grandson of Henry Engelhard Steinway, who founded Steinway & Sons. He graduated from Harvard, joining the family company in 1937. Steinway became director and vice president of Steinway & Sons in 1947. By 1955, he was appointed company president. He remained at the helm of the company until 1977, then acted as its chairman before retiring in 1980.

Steinway's accomplishments are many. He is founding president of The Museum of Making Music and former president of the National Piano Manufacturers Association, as well as past director of the American Music Conference. Steinway is also a member of the Ephemera e·phem·er·a
