Maria O'Reilly Named Chief Operating Officer of MPEG LA.


DENVER -- Maria F. O'Reilly, former COO of MPEG LA (UK) Ltd., was today promoted to Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Baryn S. As COO, O'Reilly's responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day management of all operational departments of MPEG LA, LLC and its subsidiary MPEG LA (UK) Ltd. O'Reilly will continue to report to CEO Baryn S. Futa. O'Reilly will be based at MPEG (Moving Pictures Experts Group) An ISO/ITU standard for compressing digital video.
