She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist evangelist (ĭvăn`jəlĭst) [Gr.,=Gospel], title given to saints Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The four evangelists are often symbolized respectively by a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle, on the basis of Rev. 4.6–10. Church.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster.
