Margaret E. (Healy) McDermott, 96.

WORCESTER Margaret E. (Healy) McDermott, 96, of Worcester passed away on April 24th after an illness in the Saint Francis Home.

She is predeceased by her husband of 34 years John J. McDermott. She leaves a son, John J. McDermott, retired Lt. of the Worcester Fire Department and his wife Brenda, of Wells, ME and DeBary, FL; a daughter, Katherine A. Boudreau and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury; a brother, James Healy of Auburn; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a brother Arthur Healy.

Margaret was born in Rockland, MA daughter of Arthur and Catherine (Slattery) Healy. She was a housekeeper at the College of the Holy Cross for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Saint Johns Church and enjoyed crocheting.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 28th, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Johns Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 27th, from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
