Marconi chooses Acterna's ANT-40G advanced network tester.

Acterna (OTCBB:ACTR) has announced that Marconi (MONI) has chosen to use the Acterna ANT-40G advanced network tester at its optical network research and development labs in Genoa, Italy.

Marconi's Genoa facility develops a broad range of flexible, high-speed and high capacity optical transmission systems, and will utilise the ANT-40G to perform functionality tests on its new family of MSH products, a next generation, integrated add drop multiplexer and cross connect, designed to work with line interfaces up to 40Gbit/s.

Acterna's ANT-40G was launched this year to allow equipment vendors to shorten product development timelines and decrease development time by verifying that prototype components, including boards, systems and interfaces, are properly designed and are compliant with industry standards.
