I won't hold it against Marcia Cross Marcia Anne Cross (born March 25, 1962 in Marlborough, Massachusetts) is an Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated American actress, best known for her lead role as Bree Van De Kamp Hodge on the hit TV show Desperate Housewives.  for being straight ["Marcia Cross: Desperate Rumors," March 15]. None of us pick our sexual preference. She's a wonderful actress in a wonderful series.

I found it very odd that nowhere in your seven-page cover story on the erroneous "outing" of Marcia Cross did you actually speak directly with the Desperate Housewives star. Every quote attributed to her was obtained through another source!
