March of Dimes is the name of a United States health charity, whose mission is to improve the health of babies. A major defect of some type occurs in approximately 3% of all births. Foundation recently honored Ted Weiss of T. Weiss Realty Corp. at its second annual Real Estate Awards Celebration Dinner on November 10th at the Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury, NY. The event, which was sponsored by Cushman & Wakefield of Long Island, Inc. and CB Richard Ellis CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. NYSE: CBG is a multinational real estate corporation currently based in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.. On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2. , drew nearly 200 people representing Long Island's real estate and greater business communities to raise in excess of $35,000. The funds raised will support the Long Island March of Dimes.
According to Roger Wooster of Cushman & Wakefield, the event chairman, "This year's awards dinner allowed the Long Island real estate community to come together for two good causes - to recognize the accomplishments of one of its own, Ted Weiss, and to help raise important funds for the improved health of newborn children."
