March against babies' lives.

ITEM: The Washington Post for April 26 wetted lyrical over the "March for Women's Lives The March for Women's Lives was a demonstration for abortion rights and women's rights, held April 25, 2004 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and possibly the largest protest ever held on the Mall. ." The D.C. event, said a staff writer, was "an impressive and congenial amassing of hundreds of thousands of abortion rights advocates held yesterday, [that] succeeded where other lefty assemblages on the National Mall of late have stumbled: It felt both urgent and singularly focused on its cause, instead of coming at you jam-packed with multiple issues and distracting freak shows. This was a big multi-generational Vagina Monologue, starring everyone. The vibe of the day-long rally was at once good-humored and yet deadly serious. It was aggressive and even occasionally, almost delightfully, profane...."

: The defining demeanor of the supposedly "good-humored" rally was, according to columnist Kathleen Parker, "ugly and uglier." Parker noted that protest signs were often "crude to pornographic." As she wrote, "Profanity Irreverence towards sacred things; particularly, an irreverent or blasphemous use of the name of God. Vulgar, irreverent, or coarse language.

The use of certain profane or obscene language on the radio or television is a federal offense, but in other situations, profanity
and obscene gesturing toward the pro-life crowd were commonplace."

The crowd, which was much smaller than organizers predicted or later claimed, included hard-left anti-war, environmental and anti-globalist protestors. The National Education Association lent its support, as did a group called "Anarchists for Sex and Cheap Abortions." The participants included New York New York, state, United States

Never again!" The comedian's rant grew more preposterous and fallacious. "The government continues to slash and destroy family planning--safe delivery, prenatal care prenatal care,
