Building on the success of an aggressive expansion and recruiting campaign, Mapletree Networks, a leading supplier of multi-service network infrastructure equipment for the telecommunications OEM market, announced today the opening of a research and development location in Toronto, Ontario. The opening comes on the heels of last month's announcement of a new R&D center in Westford, Mass.

Like the new Westford office, the focus of the research at the Toronto center will be on the development of Mapletree's next-generation core technology for the telecommunications equipment industry.
