MapInfo Appoints Kim Mena Vice President of Marketing; Technology Marketing Expert Joins Leading Location-Based Technology Company.

:MAPS) today announced the appointment of Kim Mena as vice president of marketing. In this capacity, Ms. Mena will be responsible for MapInfo's corporate messaging and positioning. Ms. Mena will direct the company's branding effort, oversee the MapInfo Web site, and lead the company's Corporate and Americas marketing teams. Mena will work directly with MapInfo's executive team to grow and strengthen the company's overall marketing strategy.

"Kim has more than 13 years of experience in branding and communications, which will be instrumental to the continued growth of our location-based technology offerings."

Ms. Mena joins MapInfo from Wireless Insight, a technology marketing firm where she served as Principal. In this role, she worked with Lucent Technologies in counseling international prospects and customers in the wireless marketing area as well as with several telecommunication start-up companies start-up company
