Manpower Reengineers its Payroll Program To Include a Payroll Debit Card Solution.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1997--Citibank announced today that Manpower Inc., the world's largest staffing services company, has offered Citibank's PayTM(SM) card program to its employees.

The program is used to pay those employees who prefer a payroll program via direct deposit, or those who do not have bank accounts. The PayTM program also provides its enrollees with access to their wages via ATM and POS (1) See point of sale and packet over SONET.

To provide its employees with the PayTM card service, Manpower first enrolls participating employees and provides employee and payroll information to Citibank. Citibank then issues cards and PINs. Each pay period, Manpower transmits payroll deposits to Citibank and, on payday, participating employees can access funds using the card and PIN at participating ATM and POS locations. (The accounts earn interest and are FDIC-insured.) There is also a Holiday Savings program available to enrollees. Citibank provides PayTM users with monthly account statements and Manpower distributes a hard copy of the pay stub A small software routine placed into a program that provides a common function. Stubs are used for a variety of purposes. For example, a stub might be installed in a client machine, and a counterpart installed in a server, where both are required to resolve some protocol, remote procedure .
