Used for a wide variety of scientific and engineering calculations, especially for automatic control and signal processing, MATLAB runs on Windows, Mac and . It also allows for real time data acquisition from National Insts analogue FO boards. A new integrated modelling and simulation functionality VisSim LE from Visual Solutions offers a new high performance calculation engine, improved memory management, and new analysis for region dependencies. A valuable addition is the creation of a new Web site located at www.mathcad.com to support Mathcad User Access accounts and Maintenance Access accounts, providing personalised, madditional resources and downloadable tools for users and organisation.

Also whilst this version is stand alone it is aimed for envision XML to be an extension of System Architect 20001, compatible with SA version 8.

System Architect Simulator

Currently in Quality Assurance, this tool has been developed in order to enable system performance to be assessed in accordance with temporal probabilistic models. Simulation not only shows behaviour over time, enabling trends, critical conditions and remedial actions to be identified, but can also predict most likely behaviour and the probability of deviating from that behaviour. Hence critical issues such as a the risk of bottlenecks occurring can be assessed and "What if" scenarios considered by benchmarking current `As is" models and making changes to the simulation parameters.
