ManTech Wins $7.5 Million Contract to Provide Logistics and Information Technology Support to the Army Product Director, Intelligence Fusion.

Major branch of the U.S. military forces, charged with preserving peace and security and defending the nation. The first regular U.S. fighting force, the Continental Army, was organized by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1775, to supplement local
 Product Director Intelligence Fusion (PD IF) projects office. ManTech will support intelligence fusion products that are being developed, fielded and transitioned to Army units for tactical and strategic use in Iraq and other parts of the world. ManTech will integrate, test, train, field, warehouse, and assist in the hardware and software maintenance of the products.

The contract has a one-year period of performance. ManTech has supported PD IF systems since 1982 providing requirements development, integrated logistics support A composite of all the support considerations necessary to assure the effective and economical support of a system for its life cycle. It is an integral part of all other aspects of system acquisition and operation. Also called ILS. , software development, testing, training, fielding, and post deployment system sustainment. The support to PD IF will be provided at their Fort Hood Fort Hood, U.S. army post, 209,000 acres (84,580 hectares), central Tex., near Killeen; est. 1942 on the site of old Fort Gates and named for Confederate Gen. John Hood. It is one of the army's largest installations and a major employer of the area.  Field Office, Texas.
