ManTech Awarded $34.9 Million Contract from the Navy for the Design and Development of Militarized Products and Systems.

The multi-year effort, awarded under the NAVSEA SeaPort Enhanced contract, has a 12-month base-period, and four one-year option periods, for an estimated total value of $34.9 million. Under the contract, ManTech will provide Human System Integration (HSI (Hue Saturation Intensity) A color space similar to HSB. See HSB. ) engineering, technical, and management services to products and systems such as unmanned vehicles, training ranges, air-to-air/air-to-ground weapons, and aerial target shipboard combat systems. Other support involves the design and development of performance tools; technical data support; product/systems deployment planning and support; testing; training; and program management support.

Subcontractors working with ManTech on the program are Applied Techniques Corporation, a woman-owned small business based in Maryland that provides HSI analysis; and HiPK, a Virginia-based, veteran-owned and operated small business that provides extensive consulting services for the Navy.

The Naval Surface Center at Indian Head, MD, provides special weapons support, explosives safety support, and ordnance environmental support to the U.S., foreign military, and ordnance industry. They design, scale up, and produce explosives, ordnance, and propellants used in all major DOD (1) (Dial On Demand) A feature that allows a device to automatically dial a telephone number. For example, an ISDN router with dial on demand will automatically dial up the ISP when it senses IP traffic destined for the Internet.  weapons systems.
