 Land's End Land's End, promontory, Cornwall, SW England, forming the westernmost extremity of the English mainland. Of wave-carved granite, it has cliffs c.60 ft (20 m) high. Quinn and her best friend Rose are surprised when an old wine bottle washes up on the beach, containing a letter from a lonely nine-year-old boy. This story contains just the right amount of romantic tension to keep readers engaged. They will find themselves rooting for Quinn and Dash to get together, in spite of their differences. It fits in well with the other books in the series. Middle school girls will enjoy the sweet fairy-tale ending, and there isn't any objectionable content to render it unsuitable for school or public libraries.
