Makhteshim Agan of North America Inc., (MANA mana: see animism; taboo.) appoints Gary Scharf as the company's Central U.S. business manager. Scharf will be responsible for introducing new crop protection products to Midwestern producers of corn, soybeans, small grains, and other crops. Scharf was previously senior district sales manager for Syngenta Crop Protection in the Midwest. He has served agriculture for 22 years in Nebraska, Arkansas, Southern Wisconsin and Central Iowa. His office and home are in Lincoln, Neb.
