SOME HOT WATER AND A LITTLE KNOW-HOW CAN SHRINK YOUR BERET DOWN TO A PERFECT FIT.

DRAW HOT WATER FROM THE FAUCET INTO A PAN OR BUCKET, YOU DON'T WANT TO USE WATER ANY HOTTER THAN THAT. SOAK THE BERET UNTIL IT'S COMPLETELY WET, ABOUT ONE TO TWO MINUTES.

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE FLASH OUT OF THE WATER. YOU DON'T WANT TO SHRINK THAT.

SHAKE MOST OF THE WATER OUT OF THE BERET. DON'T WRING wring

PUT THE BERET ON YOUR HEAR WITH THE FLASH OVER YOUR LEFT EYE, FOLD IT TO THE RIGHT, DOWN OVER YOUR RIGHT EAR.

IF THE BERET' TOO LOOSE, PULL ON THE RIBBONS, ONE AT A TIME, UNTIL IT'S SNUG.

AIR DRY THE BERET, NEVER PUT IT IN A DRYER. DRYER HEAT CAN SHRINK IT AND CRACK ITS RIM.

THE BERET'S MADE OF WOOL, SO IF IT NEED'S CLEANING, TAKE IT TO THE DRY CLEANERS. NEVER HAND WASH IT OR CLEAN IT IN A WASHING MACHINE (storage) washing machine - An old-style 14-inch hard disk in a floor-standing cabinet. So called because of the size of the cabinet and the "top-loading" access to the media packs - and, of course, they were always set on "spin cycle". . IT'LL SHRINK AND THEN YOU'LL HAVE T00 TIGHT A FIT.
