Major law firm expands its presence in non-legal arena with acquisition of Wescott Professional Publications.


Duane Morris Duane Morris LLP is a law firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The firm employs more than 600 lawyers in 18 offices in the United States, as well as in offices in London, Singapore and Vietnam.  LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol , among the nation's 100 largest law firms, recently acquired a provider of professional educational materials, representing another addition to the firm's growing group of non-legal services businesses. This new entity, now known as Wescott Professional Publications, will retain its existing management led by CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Kathleen F. Lilley.

While initially focusing on continuing medical education, plans call for Wescott to broaden into areas involving other professions, including insurance, employee benefits, and human resources.
