Major grant helps keep the love light burning.MS affects more than our bodies. It affects our relationships--none more so than those with our intimate partners. Now, a $2.5 million federal grant for "healthy marriage" will enable the Society to expand programming to help couples improve communication skills and enrich their connection. The five-year pilot program will include a variety of learning opportunities, beginning with a seven-week communications workshop to improve couples' communication, anger management, and conflict resolution skills. Next, weekend workshops led by special facilitators will help couples develop a "team approach" to living with the challenges of MS.
