Major Oil Company Undertakes ATG Liquid-Fuel-Additive Test.MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1997--American Technologies Group Inc. (ATG ATG antithymocyte globulin. lymphocyte immune globulin (antithymocyte globulin equine, ATG, ATG equine, LIG) Atgam Pharmacologic class: Immunoglobulin Therapeutic class: Immunosuppressant ) (OTC OTC See: Over-the-counter. OTC See over-the-counter market (OTC). :ATEG ATEG Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar ) Wednesday announced an agreement with a major U.S. petroleum company to conduct engine tests to assess the effect of ATG's liquid I(e) Crystal on the reduction of carbon deposits on valves and pistons in gasoline- powered engines. ATG already markets The Force, an airborne combustion additive containing the I(e) Crystal. The crystals consist of highly charged clusters ranging in size from 15 nanometers to a few microns. Each crystal contains numerous molecules bound together by enormous forces. The I(e) crystals are surrounded by an electric field much stronger than a magnetic field. It is this strong electric field that gives the I(e) crystals the properties that make them so effective as a combustion-enhancing fuel additive. In the combustion process, the highly charged I(e) crystals greatly enhance the oxidation process by attracting both oxygen and hydrocarbon molecules and thereby increasing the probability of more complete oxidation occurring. The test announced Wednesday will evaluate the effect of liquid I(e) Crystal added directly to the gasoline fuel. This test is a follow on to numerous lab tests done that demonstrated very positive results in carbon-deposit reduction in internal-combustion engines using the I(e) Crystal additive. If this new test is successful, as ATG anticipates, the petroleum company will undertake emission tests and other large- scale performance tests. It is ATG's intention to grant the oil company exclusivity in the use and marketing of the I(e) additive. Lawrence J. Brady, president of ATG, said: ``The company's objective from the outset has been to add the I(e) Crystal solution at the most suitable point in the refinery process, so that the I(e) Crystal additive would be in the bulk fuel when it is delivered at the pump. ``Americans use 325 million gallons of gasoline per day, and even at a few cents per treated gallon for a portion of the gas consumed, the revenue could be very significant. The test which we are announcing today is a significant step in reaching that objective.'' ATG is an advanced science and technology company providing the solutions to environmental problems worldwide. Its core technologies and products include The Force airborne fuel treatment, I(e) Crystal products, fuel additives, water purification These technologies have numerous applications in the nuclear, energy, water, mining, and oil and gas industries. -0- Matters discussed in this release include forward-looking statements forward-looking statement A projected financial statement based on management expectations.
