MainConcept Adds Sony MXF and XDCAM HD Support To MPEG-1 / MPEG-2 Codec SDK; Support Will Provide Efficient Workflow For Production Facilities and Broadcasters Using Popular Applications.


AACHEN, Germany & OSAKA, Japan -- MainConcept, a worldwide leader in codec technology, announced today that it has implemented MXF (Material EXchange Format) A file format from the Pro-MPEG Forum for the interchange of video production information. MXF files include audio/video content and related meta-data (production notes, camera settings, time code positions, etc.  file support for Sony XDCAM(TM) HD into its MPEG-1 / MPEG-2 SDK (Software Developer's Kit) See developer's toolkit and Windows SDK.
