Main Street Parade, VIP Ribbon Cutting and Live Entertainment Mark Grand Opening of the Avenue(R) Carriage Crossing on October 19; Festivities to Run Wednesday-Saturday, October 19-22.

ATLANTA -- Tennessee's largest open-air specialty retail center - The Avenue Carriage Crossing - rolls out the red carpet on Wednesday, October 19 with a grand opening parade along the center's main street, followed by a VIP ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Collierville Mayor Linda Kerley and The Avenue's development team, led by Joel Murphy, president of the Retail Division of Cousins Properties Incorporated (NYSE: CUZ) and joint venture partner Jim Wilson, Jr. of Jim Wilson & Associates. The doors to The Avenue's stores and restaurants will swing open promptly at 10 AM on Wednesday, and the celebration continues throughout the day with live musical entertainment, street performers, live-remote radio broadcasts and prize drawings.

The Main Street Parade gets underway at 9:15 AM outside of Barnes & Noble and travels down the center's main street to "Central Park," with appearances by The Tennessee Army National Guard Flag & Color Bearers, Leadership Collierville, The Collierville High School Dragon Regiment Band and Color Guard, The Red Hots Drill Team, Catherine Werne Miss Tennessee United States, Amy Robbins Miss Collierville 2005, Sam Pappas Miss Collierville Teen 2005, The Collierville Fire and Police Departments, The Libby Lu Mascot, Rockey The Rockin' Redbird and The Grizzlies Mascot, and Bearmey - the Build-A-Bear Workshop Mascot, and other special guests.

A fun assortment of clowns, balloon artists, stilt walkers, face painters and other special guests take up residence in The Avenue's distinctive 6,000 square foot Children's Park through Saturday, October 22 - all free to youngsters and their adult guests.

The Avenue's grand stand performance area, "Central Park," will play host to choirs, local theatres, radio personalities, contests and prize raffles throughout the week. Nationally recognized musical performers will take the stage on Wednesday, October 19 at Noon with Vertical Horizon in concert, and NBC Television's "ER" star Scott Grimes performing his top 20 hit "Sunset Boulevard" live on Saturday, October 22 at 4:30 PM.

The Avenue is located at the intersection of Houston Levee Road and Bill Morris Parkway (a/k/a The Nonconnah Parkway) in Collierville - a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee - and will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 AM - 9 PM, and 12 Noon - 6 PM on Sundays. The complete line-up follows -
