I was in a new place and didn't know any skatespots so I just cruised around; not stressing about learning new tricks and being upset when they didn't come instantaneously, but just having a good time. For me, cruising is a kind of meditation. I get so consumed with conquering the obstacles in front of me that I forget about everything else. I take it easy and see if I can ollie a little higher or manual just a little longer. I know that I'll never be a professional skater. I don't have the guts to hurl myself off a 20-stair set, I just make the best of the limited free time I have. With all the craziness and the daily stress of school, chicks, and my parents, why should I stress about skateboarding too? Have fun.
