Magnitude-3.6 earthquake shakes Utah

A small earthquake rattled south-central Utah, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The magnitude-3.6 quake occurred shortly before midnight Thursday and was centered near the towns of Kingston and Circleville, according to The University of Utah Seismograph Stations.

Relu Burlacu, network manager for the seismographic stations, said he knew of only one report from someone who felt the quake.

"The description is that apparently this person used to live in California so I think he's more sensitive to earthquakes," Burlacu said. "It's a slight movement. This isn't an earthquake to generate damages."
