Magma Design Automation, provider of a revolutionary electronic design automation (EDA) solution for physical design, today announced that it has successfully taken an AMD (NYSE: AMD) gate-level netlist through the Blast Fusion(tm) physical design system and has delivered a GDSII file. The design results demonstrate the ability of the Blast Fusion system to accurately predict timing early in the physical design cycle and to deliver a design with post-layout timing that meets or exceeds the MPG(tm) (Magma Performance Guarantee) timing sign-off number.
