 Travel and Life magazine has announced its "Five New Urban Communities To Watch." Among the many specifications to be labeled an urban community to watch is the importance of parks and open space. The Southwood neighborhood in Tallahassee, Fla., was the number one choice on the list because of its 1,000 acres of parks, lakes and open space amid the 3,200-acre area. Other communities listed include Tioga in Gainesville, Baldwin Park Baldwin Park, city (1990 pop. 69,330), Los Angeles co., S Calif., a suburb of Los Angeles, in the fertile San Gabriel valley; settled 1870, inc. 1956.
