Macworld Conference & Expo Kicks Off Next Week in San Francisco; Event Highlights Include New Exhibit Hall Features, over 300 Exhibiting Companies, Hundreds of New Product Introductions, World-Class Mac Education.

 World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, announced that Macworld Conference & Expo(R) will kick off next week in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  at the Moscone Center The Moscone Center is San Francisco, California's largest convention and exhibition complex. The complex consists of two main underground halls underneath Yerba Buena Gardens, Moscone North and Moscone South, as well the three-level Moscone West exhibition hall across 4th Street. . Hundreds of new products are expected to debut at next week's event, which will feature an exhibit hall filled with over 300 of the most innovative companies serving the Mac community. Macworld will also include five days of world-class educational content, with conference sessions appropriate for Mac users of all levels and backgrounds.

The Macworld conference program runs Monday through Friday, January 9-13, 2006 at San Francisco's Moscone Center. The Macworld exhibit hall opens on Tuesday, January 10 at 11:00 a.m. and runs through Friday, January 13. The Macworld exhibit hall will feature the newest products and applications for the Mac platform from companies such as Adobe, Canon USA, Epson America, FileMaker, Harman Multimedia, HP, Microsoft, Nikon, Quark, Xerox, XtremeMac and many others.

Macworld Conference & Expo attendees can also network with their peers and obtain valuable education at a wide variety of informative conference sessions, special events and forums. Highlights include:

--Feature presentations: Mac luminaries Michael Rubin, David Pogue David Pogue (born March 9 1963) is a technology writer, journalist and commentator. A Volkswagen GTi and a Porsche Cayenne will display the latest in vehicle-specific iPod docks; a vintage Buick Riviera will be custom fitted with a Mac mini; plus many more Mac-auto integrations from leading companies Alpine, Dension Audio Systems, 2point5, and Schosche. --Power Tools Conference: 15 separate conferences will provide two days of in-depth training on specific applications and tools. This will mark the first in-depth public training on Aperture - the first all-in-one post-production tool for professional photographers. Other topics include: Dreamweaver; Professional Photoshop; DVD Studio Pro DVD Studio Pro is a high-end software tool published by Apple to allow users to create DVD masters to be sent out for replication at production houses. Its tight integration with other Apple applications allows users to take Final Cut Pro and Motion projects and render them into ; Adobe Creative Suite Adobe Creative Suite is a collection of graphic design, video editing, and web development applications made by Adobe Systems. The latest version, Adobe Creative Suite 3 (CS3), was announced on March 27, 2007; it introduced Universal binaries for all programs for the Apple ; FileMaker Pro; Mac OS X Server Advanced Concepts; Logic for Professional Music Production; Flash 8; Adobe Acrobat; Final Cut Studio and more.

--Market Symposiums: this newly introduced conference features five unique day-long Market Symposiums that will help small business owners; educators (K-12); art directors; new media artists; and Podcasters get the most out of their Mac computing experience.

--Creative Corner: this newly introduced Exhibit Hall feature is a dedicated area that will highlight music and audio in the Berklee Dream Studio; digital photography with the "Dr. Is In" digital photography help area; and creative products and services on the Creative Professional Stage and Special Interest Pavilions. --Berklee Dream Studio: the Berklee College of Music Berklee College of Music, founded in 1945, is an independent music college in Boston, Massachusetts, with many prominent faculty, staff, alumni, and visiting artists. It has an enrollment of approximately 3,900 students and a 2004 faculty of approximately 430.  will present the Dream Studio, a state-of-the-art music studio filled with Mac hardware and software ready to bring your musical visions to life. This attraction will also feature a self-guided tour, music production demonstrations and daily lectures by Berklee faculty. Open to all attendees.

--Digital Photography: several new features have been added to this year's event that will provide attendees with more education, services and product insight about digital photography. Highlights include "The Dr. Is In" - Digital Photography Help; Aperture training; Photoshop education; Adobe, Nikon and Canon exhibiting.

--Taste of the Conference: over 20 hours of free education and training will be offered each day of the Expo. There will be several training sessions on: the iPod digital music player Hardware or software that plays audio files encoded in MP3, AAC, WMA or other audio formats. There are several software-based music players that play audio files in a desktop or laptop computer, including iTunes, RealPlayer and Windows Media Player. ; the basics of the Mac; and the many creative applications associated with the Mac.
