Mack-Cali to be honored May 30. (Transcripts).

Mack-Cali Realty Corporation announced that its chief executive officer, Mitchell E. Hersh, will receive the Monmouth University Real Estate Institute Leadership Excellence Award at the Institute's ninth annual Leadership Excellence Award Dinner on May 30 at 6 p.m. The award will honor Hersh for his distinguished contributions to the state and nation through his career in real estate.

Dr. Donald Moliver, director of the Monmouth University Real Estate Institute, commented, "A New Jersey native, Mitchell began his career as an architect and rose through the ranks of The Mack Company before being named chief executive officer of MackCall. His tireless drive, thorough understanding of all aspects of commercial real estate, and constant reach for excellence sets him apart. He is a consummate professional and serves as an outstanding model for young real estate professionals today."

Hersh, who is also a director and member of the executive committee of Mack-Cali's board of directors, is a member of the Real Estate Rountable and serves on the board of trustees of the New York University Real Estate Institute and on the board of directors for both the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Honorary co-chairmen at the award dinner will be Bruce S. Schonbraun, managing partner of Schonbraun Safris McCann Bekritsky & Co., LLC, and John A. Somers, executive vice president of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association College Retirement Equities Fund.
