To give permission for; sanction: an increase in the company's quarterly cash dividend to $0.63 per share from $0.62 per share, effective for the quarter ending. Sept. 30. This is an indicated annual rate of $2.52 per share and represents a dividend yield of 7.9% based on the closing price of $32.04 on Sept. 24. The increase in the company's dividend represents the eighth consecutive year in which the company has raised its quarterly dividend since the Company's initial public offering in 1994. The dividend will be paid on Oct. 21 to shareholders of record as of Oct. 3. |
