Mack follows the fast track to job of her dreams.

Trying to get the president of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group in one place for more than 15 minutes is like finding a vacant plot of land to build a condo in Manhattan.

Kelly Kennedy Mack is a 33-year-old live wire who spends her time racing from on-site sales meetings at a plethora of high-profile New York New York, state, United States

Mack admits she's barely had time to catch her breath since taking over the reins of the group in the summer of last year from her long-time mentor, marketing powerhouse, Louise Sunshine. But that's just the way she likes it.

"I do have a busy schedule, but I have a tremendous amount of energy because I wake up every day excited about what's in store for me," she said.

"On any given day, I can be at a host of different meetings to discuss and plan some of the most exciting new developments in the country. I get to work with some of the most influential developers in the world and the greatest talents from the fields of architecture and design. I'm not sure where else you could find a job like this."

She was born into a New York family with a passion for travel that engrained in her early an appreciation of the world around her. Whether it was a five-story walk-up on her home turf or an ancient castle in Scotland, Mack said she has always been fascinated by the assortment of abodes that people call home.

She attended New York's prestigious Dalton School where she met the man who would one day become her husband, Stephen Mack Stephen Mack was a merchant and politician. He was the brother of Lucy Mack Smith and so the uncle of The Latter-day Saint founder Joseph Smith, Jr..

Although Mack threw herself into her work orchestrating promotional and marketing opportunities for clients across all of Time Warner's companies, she decided she wanted to parlay her obvious promotional talents with some business acumen and enrolled at NYU's Stern School of Business where she gained an MBA MBA

That search for their first home rekindled Mack's interest in the fabric of the city and the collection of homes it has to offer. "I found myself getting into the world or residential marketing and began to consider it as a career rather than going back to the entertainment industry. My father-in-law had worked with Louise Sunshine often and he suggested we meet. I had just completed my MBA and I saw this as a very unique opportunity to merge my interested in architecture, design and art with what I had learned in business school and to apply my skills to the strategies of marketing new developments."

At the time, Sunshine was in the throes throe

and Mack admitted, "I was confronted with a vision of not only learning from a true pioneer, but being able to work closely with Louise to expand her already very successful company by taking advantage of some of the opportunities that NRT brought to the table."

Renown for not suffering fools gladly, Sunshine immediately saw in Mack a passion for the work that she herself had revolutionized and someone to whom she could one day hand the mantle of her legacy.

Mack was charged with the task of forming the Sunshine Alliance, a network of experts from some of the companies that made up the NRT family that provided a platform for developing synergies that would ultimately add value to the company's work for client developers.

"We found a great opportunity to establish a network of high-end brokers that catered to the kind of clientele that we represent in terms of high-net worth individuals seeking luxury first, second and even third homes that augment their lifestyle," said Mack, who was also responsible for new business development and worked to expand the Sunshine Marketing Group into the West Coast, Florida and beyond.

Mack is quick to credit Sunshine for mentoring her through the dramatic expansion the firm underwent during these years, explaining, "Under Louise's guidance, I was able to gain an incredible amount of experience in a short period of time. I was on the fast track and doing something I truly loved."

After the Sunshine Group merged with Corcoran in 2002, Mack thrived in an environment where she said she worked with the best and the brightest on a daily basis. By the time Sunshine stepped down from the firm in 2006 and hand-picked Mack as her successor, she said she was excited by the prospect of taking the helm and overseeing the work of more than 150 employees across the country.

head into the future confident in the knowledge that she would remain committed to the core values of the firm she founded.

Mack said, "I am completely committed to that foundation of creating innovative marketing, true value and unwavering commitment to our clients."

Perhaps it was insight on Sunshine's part that led her to the assumption that Mack would indeed be suited to the business of fully merging the two firms, an effort that has won her not only the respect of her peers, but also the respect of today's industry powerhouses.
