Macedonians prefer Greece in the pre-season.

Macedonian citizens each year increasingly avoid going on vacation during the peak season in July and August. The arrangements in May, June and September are cheaper and it is easier to make a reservation in the wanted term. The tourist agencies say that citizens began making reservation even in the beginning of March and the reservations for September are expected to increase in June. Citizens mostly want to go on vacation in the neighboring countries and the top destination, same as last year, is Greece.

"Greece is mostly wanted as it is the closest and cheapest. Lately, a more remote destination is Spain," says Donco Nacev from tourist agency "Arbo Travel."

Unlike the countries from the region that have beneficial arrangements prior and after the season, the domestic tourist capacities are not filled up and there is small number of tourists ahead of the season.
