Macadamian Shows Support for the Microsoft Shared Source CLI.

OTTAWA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2002

Macadamian Technologies Inc., leading provider of software engineering services for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), today announced that it is hosting a mirror download of the Microsoft Shared Source Common Language Infrastructure The Shared Source Common Language Infrastructure (SSCLI), previously codenamed Rotor, is Microsoft's shared source implementation of the CLI, the core of .NET. Although the SSCLI is not suitable for commercial use due to its license, it does make it possible for programmers  (CLI (1) (Call Level Interface) A database programming interface from the SQL Access Group (SAG), an SQL membership organization. SAG's CLI is an attempt to standardize the SQL language for database access. ) at http://www.macadamian.com/download/cli/cli.html. Macadamian will also be providing sample code and tutorials to help developers learn .NET, C#, and SS CLI concepts.

The Shared Source Common Language Infrastructure is the ECMA (European Computer Manufacturers Association, Geneva, Switzerland, www.ecma-international.org) An international association founded in 1961 that is dedicated to establishing standards in the information and communications fields.  standard that describes the core of the .NET Framework. The Shared Source A licensing agreement from Microsoft for selected customers that allows them to look at certain parts of Microsoft source code. The companies are encouraged to make suggestions, but unlike open source software, in most cases, they are prohibited from making the changes themselves.  CLI is an archive containing working source code of the ECMA CLI and the ECMA C# language specification that will build and run on Windows XP The previous client version of Windows. XP was a major upgrade to the client version of Windows 2000 with numerous changes to the user interface. XP improved support for gaming, digital photography, instant messaging, wireless networking and sharing connections to the Internet.  and FreeBSD. The archive also contains tools, compilers, documentation, and samples.
