According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 119,261, making it the fourth largest city in the state. , USA, will close its general consumer packaging operations in Newark, Delaware Newark is a city in New Castle County, Delaware, 12 miles (19 km) west-southwest of Wilmington. According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 30,060.[1] Newark is the home of the University of Delaware.  by late April 2003. The facility converts paper and paperboard into printed packages and is part of MWV's packaging segment. Approximately 80 people work at Newark.
