Montpelier, Ohio, won in the municipal category, followed by the Los Angeles-based MWD MWD Metropolitan Water District of Southern California MWD Measurement While Drilling (oil drilling) MWD Morgan Stanley Dean Witter (stock symbol) MWD Molecular Weight Distribution MWD Military Working Dog ; Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; Canora, Canada; and Kinross Charter Township in Kincheole, Mich. The bottled-water prize went to Mountain Valley Spring Water of Hot Springs, Ark. The best carbonated water came from Harrogate Spa Water Harrogate Spa Water is England's oldest bottled water manufacturer. It dates back to the 16th Century when the first springs were found to be therapeutic.
