MUTUAL FUND INVESTMENT INFORMATION FROM THE INVESTMENT COMPANY INSTITUTE

 WASHINGTON, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- A variety of consumer educational materials on basic mutual fund investing are available from the Investment Company Institute, the national association of the mutual fund industry. Except for the Directory of Mutual Funds, which sells for $5, these materials are provided free of charge to individuals who write for them. Multiple copies also are free for schools, clubs and public libraries.
 The 1993-94 Directory of Mutual Funds lists more than 3,700 mutual funds by type. The directory shows each fund's 800 telephone number, fee structure, sponsor and minimum investment requirement.
