Moorpark scored 20 second-half points. Clinging to a 7-0 lead in the third quarter and Simi Valley driving for the tying score, Dakota Holland intercepted a pass in the end zone to preserve the shutout Not to be confused with Shootout.

On the next play, Moran broke free on a 79-yard run to set up a 9-yard touchdown run to extend Moorpark's lead to 13-0.

Moran, a senior, finished with 106 yards and scored on a 10-yard run with 4:48 left. Scott, a sophomore, had 139 yards on 23 carries.

Holland, a junior free safety, intercepted two passes to bring his season total to seven. Holland - who ranks second in the area behind St. Francis of La Canada Flintridge's Scott Stephens (eight) - has four interceptions in his past two games, including two interceptions in a 23-16 loss to league-leading Newbury Park last week.

``I was just glad that we were able to score off an interception tonight,'' Holland said. ``They were driving on us and it just boosted our morale. After last week loss, it brought us down but we got rid of it and tried to move on.''

In a game that had 16 punts, eight by each team, there was little offense. Barry broke a scoreless tie on a 2-yard sneak with 1:11 remaining in the second quarter.
