``The show is ready, the costumes are ready, the kids are ready,'' said Joseph Portilla, Gabriel's father and one of the parent organizers.

Some 60 young singers and dancers will perform selections from six of Broadway's most popular musicals, including ``Cats,'' ``Les Miserables'' and ``Phantom of the Opera.''

Producing a cabaret that will be attended by paying patrons has been a challenge for Gabriel and his performing partners. He figures the musical selections, though, will make the show a hit.

``We basically did the popular ones so we could attract an audience,'' Gabriel explained. ``It's looking really good. A lot of people have donated their time and money.''

With support from parents, the fund-raiser should be a success, Joseph Portilla said.

``It turned out to be a huge operation, which is really neat,'' he said. ``It benefits Trevor and it also benefits the other children who wish to show off their talents and do a good deed at the same time.''
