MUSIC TO HEAL KIDS SING REQUIEM FOR 9-11 HEROES.Byline: Daily News Before performing in a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall, the Valencia and Saugus high schools choirs recently took time out to visit ground zero in New York City and make a contribution to the firefighters fund. Then they handed over a $1,000 check to the wife of one of the firefighters who died trying to save others on Sept. 11. The high school choirs raised the money during a Santa Clarita performance in December. The students also visited the Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center and Rockefeller Center, and they saw ``Oklahoma,'' ``Noises Off'' and ``Les Miserables'' on Broadway. Choir members and their parents raised funds for the trip, and community officials added a city grant.
