Byline: Daily News

Before performing in a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall, the Valencia and Saugus high schools choirs recently took time out to visit ground zero in New York City and make a contribution to the firefighters fund.

Choirs from the two high schools joined singers from three colleges in a 250-member chorale chorale (kōrăl`, –räl`), any of the traditional hymns of the German Protestant Church. The form was developed after the Reformation to replace the plainsong of the earlier service and as a means of congregational participation in the liturgy. that performed Mozart An earlier screen scraper from Mozart Systems Corporation, Burlingame, CA, that was used to turn a character-based mainframe screen into a Windows or DOS front end via 3270 emulation. Music festivals usually are held annually in the summer, sometimes in the open air. The concept has been traced as far back as the sixth-century B.C. Before the New York concert, the Santa Clarita Valley students sang to firefighters at Bronx Station No. 3. Then they handed over a $1,000 check to the wife of one of the firefighters who died trying to save others on Sept. 11.

The high school choirs raised the money during a Santa Clarita performance in December.

The students also visited the Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center and Rockefeller Center, and they saw ``Oklahoma,'' ``Noises Off'' and ``Les Miserables'' on Broadway.

Choir members and their parents raised funds for the trip, and community officials added a city grant.
