Summertime may be nearing an end, but this month, the Los Angeles County Fair The Los Angeles County Fair (also called simply the L.A. County Fair) is an annual event held in the Fairplex in Pomona, California, held every September. It is a carnival with rides, merchants, food vendors, cooking contests, and livestock. The 2007 L.A.  will be sizzling siz·zle

 with some of the hottest entertainers in the business.

The fair's summer concert series kicks off Friday night with Latin Legends Live. The concert will feature Latin music icons Tierra, Malo and Ersie & Mickey, original members of El Chicano El Chicano is a Latin R&B/brown-eyed soul band from Los Angeles, California, whose influences can be found in rock, funk, soul, blues, jazz, and salsa. Original members included Bobby Espinosa, Freddie Sanchez, Mickey Lespron, Andre Baeza, and John De Luna. .

On Saturday, classic rock fans can take a trip back to the 1970s with the band Heart.

The group, which is fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson Nancy Wilson may refer to:

, earned a place in music history with hits such as ``Crazy on You,'' ``Magic Man'' and ``Barracuda barracuda, slender, elongated fish of tropical seas. Barracudas have long snouts and projecting lower jaws armed with large, sharp-edged teeth. They are ferocious, striking at anything that gleams, and are considered excellent game fishes. .''

Country duo Montgomery Gentry rounds out the opening weekend with a performance on Sunday. Since 2000, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry have churned out a string of hits, including ``She Don't Tell Me To,'' ``My Town'' and ``Something to Be Proud Of.''

The Mexican group Los Tucanes de Tijuanes takes to the stage on Sept. 15. The ensemble was the only regional band nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in 2003. Latin Grammy Award winner Ana Barbara will also perform that night.

Rihanna, one of music's most popular acts this year, is scheduled to appear Sept. 16. The Caribbean-born artist may be new to the business, but she already has scored two smash hits -- ``S.O.S.'' and ``Unfaithful.'' R&B singer/songwriter Trey Songz will open for Rihanna.

Returning to the fair on Sept. 17 is '80s rocker Pat Benatar. Benatar made her mark with such hits as ``Love Is a Battlefield,'' ``Hit Me With Your Best Shot'' and ``Heartbreaker heart·break·er

Another musical act returning to Fairplex is Creedence Clearwater Revisited Creedence Clearwater Revisited is a band that was formed in 1995, by former Creedence Clearwater Revival bassist and drummer - Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, respectively. The band . Created by the rhythm section of Creedence Clearwater Revival Creedence Clearwater Revival (commonly referred to by its initials CCR or simply as Creedence) was a southern rock American rock band, which consisted of John Fogerty (vocals, guitar, harmonica, piano), Tom Fogerty (guitar, vocals, piano), Stu Cook (bass guitar, , the reminted band will appear Sept. 22. It will perform some memorable hits from the 1970s, including ``Bad Moon Rising Bad Moon Rising can refer to:

LeAnn Rimes, one of country music's most successful artists, will be the headliner Sept. 23. In 1996, a 13-year-old Rimes charmed her way into fans' hearts with her debut single ``Blue.'' She has remained a steady presence in the industry with country and pop hits such as ``How Do I Live?'' ``One Way Ticket,'' ``I Need You'' and ``Can't Fight the Moonlight.''

In the spirit of Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 16, Mariachi USA Fiesta will offer a 90-minute musical revue on Sept. 24.
