Six men charged with murder in the fatal shootings of two men at a Glendale clothing store were ordered Thursday to be arraigned in Pasadena Superior Court.

Glendale Municipal Judge Laura Matz said there was a reasonable suspicion Reasonable suspicion is a legal standard in United States law that a person has been, is, or is about to be, engaged in criminal activity based on specific and articulable facts and inferences.  that the six men committed the crimes alleged by prosecutor prosecutor

Authorities claim Atyan and seven accomplices went to the store that night to extort To compel or coerce, as in a confession or information, by any means serving to overcome the other's power of resistance, thus making the confession or admission involuntary. To gain by wrongful methods; to obtain in an unlawful manner, as in to compel payments by means of threats of  money from owner Ara Karapetian. Charged in the case are Hovhanes Takvoryan, 23; Karen Takvoryan, 22; Hovik Fiterz, 36, of North Hollywood; Khoren Broutian, 32, of Hollywood; Gagik Kazarian, 44, of Glendale; and Mger Tagvoryan, 23, of North Hollywood. A seventh suspect remains at large. Defense lawyers argued that their clients were there to talk about a business dispute with the store owner, not to extort money.

``This was at best an argument that may have gotten heated,'' said defense lawyer Alex Kessell. The lawyers noted that no testimony was presented tying their clients to actual shootings, and that Atyan was the only person positively identified as having a gun in his hand at the time of the shootout.
