The project is in response to new NASM guidelines that direct member schools to educate all music students about health issues associated with music. Grants will fund research by medical and science experts in the areas of neuromusculoskeletal, mental and vocal health. The information from these studies will be presented during an interactive conference in Fort Worth, Texas Fort Worth is the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas, 18th-largest city in the United States[1], and voted one of "America’s Most Livable Communities. , this fall. MTNA Vice President Gall Berenson, NCTM, will represent MTNA at this conference. Materials then will be available.
