MTI-Milliren Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of precision quartz oscillators for wireless communications applications, announces a Stratum III and IIIe Synchronous Timing Module as an addition to it's family of products. The new series measure 3.4" L X 2.0" W X 0.75" H (86.4 X 50.8 X 19.05 mm.). It comes standard with five user programmable input reference frequencies from 8 kHz to 311.04 MHz, allowing any multiple of 8 kHz from 24 kHz to 100MHz to be supported. Five user selectable output reference frequencies from 2kHz to 311.04 MHz support 20 industry-standard telecommunications frequencies, as well as a 2 kHz in/out sync.

Features include redundant master-slave configuration, fully Bellcore: GR-1244-CORE-STR 3E and ITU-T: G.812 Type III standards compliant, and holdover stability of +/-1 x 10-08. MTI's new timing module supports free-running, locked, and holdover modes of operation while filtering jitter from the incoming signals. Output signal levels include TTL, ACMOS, LVDS, and LVPECL. Applications include SONET and SDH transport equipment, network synchronization, cellular and WLL base stations, core IP routers and switches, and ATM wireless communications systems.
