("MSV") announces results from the exploration campaign between levels 3800 and 5000 at the Copper Rand Mine in Chibougamau. These results could lead, in the near future, to a substantial increase in mineable ore reserves and to an improvement in the gold grades at Copper Rand. The exploration program at depth was begun this summer after a re-evaluation of the regional geology of the Chibougamau Camp. It was aimed at testing the extension at depth of the mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. To convert to a mineral substance; petrify. 2. To date, nine (9) holes have been completed, and they have covered over 1,200 feet laterally a zone that could possibly extend over 3,000 feet. So far, every hole has hit gold/copper mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. On average, assay results of these intersections have returned 0.138 oz/t Au and 1.49 percent Cu over a width of 11.2 feet. The following table presents results of several of these intersections. -0- Exploration at depth Copper Rand Mine

-0- In addition, these results clearly establish the continuity at depth of the geological environment and of the mineralized zones associated with the Copper Rand ore body. Because mineralized widths of the intersections are comparable with those of zones presently being mined, MSV believes that the present exploration program has led to the discovery of new mineral resources Noun 1. mineral resources - natural resources in the form of minerals natural resource, natural resources - resources (actual and potential) supplied by nature exceeding 4.0 million short tons between levels 4000 and 5000 at the Copper Rand Mine, or 550,000 ounces of gold and close to 120 million pounds of copper. Therefore, present mineable reserves at the Copper Rand Mine, which stand at 3 million tons, could be increased substantially in the near future. In addition, gold grades of these resources appear to be higher than present (0.138 oz/t vs. 0.076 oz/t Au). Finally, such encouraging exploration results certainly reinforce the economic justification behind the development at depth of the Copper Rand Mine. This project was recently evaluated by the Montreal-based Metchem engineering firm, and it consists in the deepening of the main production shaft at Copper Rand and in the implementation of more efficient mining and underground transportation methods. MSV believes that significant reductions in operating costs operating costs npl → gastos mpl operacionales and increases in production volumes could be achieved by the project. CONTACT: Richard R.
