Sue's been deaf since she was 18 months old. Through the sacrifices of her parents and the determination of dedicated teachers and coaches, she became a teenage figure skating figure skating Sport in which ice skaters, singly or in pairs, perform various jumps, spins, and footwork. "I could sit across the room where the bad guys were and tell the good guys what the bad guys were saying so the good guys could catch the bad guys," she said. Her story attracted the attention of PAX-TV who created a weekly TV series called "Sue Thomas, F-B-Eye". Sue's eyesight is her weapon against isolation. So when she began to experience blurred vision ten years ago she was more than a little concerned. As you may already have guessed, the diagnosis was MS. And now MS is stealing away her eyesight. As much as she fears losing her eyesight and thus her ability to read lips, she has decided that her dreams are more important. Sue dreams of creating a retreat where people with MS can overcome their anger about its injustices, combat their isolation, and build a resolve to create dreams big enough to dwarf their fears. She's purchased the property (no electricity or running water yet) and is busy designing accessible walkways and cabins. I don't know Don't know (DK, DKed) "Don't know the trade."
